This morning John and I had a quick visit with Abelina this beautiful Sunday Morn. We brought her her usual extra foamy short Latte and her favorite Peruvian dish, from our mutually favorite restaurant in SF Moochica! Although we love going when we have a chance, it is just never the same without Abelina. She was in great spirits! She had just woken up after a beautiful twelve hours of sleep. She began to talk with great enthusiasm, telling Hilarius stories about her poor brother Lupe who was born with salt, not sugar like the rest of them. So funny!
As far as her progress goes, she is expected to have her tracheal tube removed next week. This week she went fro a size 6 valve to a 4 prior to complete removal. She is getting closer and closer to being discharged, the last I heard, it will be April 28Th!
We will miss her...

Good to hear you are getting some long needed rest. Keep on healing and taking care of your self.
You are one of the most inspiring and strongest women I know.
Here's to you, Abelina!
