HOW TO DONATE:

Donations to help Abelina and her children can be made to the following:

-Tax deductible donations can be made at http://www.ntafund.org/ by entering "Abelina Magana" in the patient's name section on the home page. NTAF will accept checks and credit card donations on Abelina's behalf. Again, donations to NTAF are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

All donations will be used for in-home care, a wheel chair accessible van and home modifications.

Abelina is currently going through intense rehabiliation and living independently with the help of her 3 children. But they need more help.

Due to the horrific event on October 12th 2007, that changed the Magana family and friends forever. Abelina is now a quagraplegic with a severing of the spinal cord at her C-5 vertebrae. We were all told from the beginning that the odds were against her. If she survived there would be a 50/50 chance that she would not be around that first Christmas. We were told, if she lived that she would most likely live the remainder of her life in a hospital connected to a ventillator in a hospital bed. Now by the grace of God and Abelina's determination to live for her three babies, not only does she breathe on her own, she has movement in her right and left arm. She continues to defy medicine and like her current doctor, Dr. Ng said, "the hospital is learning from her, not the other way around."

Abelina is determined to make a difference and she will. However, due to her signigicant injuries as a quadraplegic and the enormous amount of daily assistance she requires, she is struggling financially. In addition, her kids are struggling emotionally and physically to keep up with her daily needs.
