Today, I visited Abelina and we were able to communicate quite well. She has a lot more energy as is very eager. According to one of Doctors Dr. Lee .her wiring will be reevaluated on December 1st or 2nd by the plastic surgeon. He did agree with me that she was quite a lady and eluded to the fact that she has surpassed their expectations. She still is under observation for her lungs and the secretion buildup is improving. Also, she was able to sit up on the edge of her bed with assistance yesterday, according to her sister Hilda. That is what I understood, but some things are lost in translation. She still is on the verge of moving out of ICU, but again it is best for her to stay as long as possible.
Also, I wanted to remind you of Saturday fundraiser. It is at 5:00 at the Novato Youth Center at 680 Wilson. Not the Novato Community Center!

I have to tell you, I am so very grateful this space exists. When updates about Abelina vanished from the local papers, I felt frustration. Interested in how it all was progressing, Thank You for taking the time to write the ongoing story as it happens.

Hello Abelina,
My name is Dominica and our children went and still go to PV together. Skye (13yrs) & Elijah (8yrs) Rossman.
I don’t know if you would remember me but I remember you well. This past year, I would sit in the car line at school, gazing off waiting for Ely to get out of school. I would see you, Abraham & Claudia going to get Angel. I admire you, hugging those kids and all of you smiling. You know they knew their mom loved them and they looked so proud of you. Your wonderful spirit and smile stands out and always left me with a sense of gratitude for my children and I want to “Thank You!” for that and for what you are teaching all of us now.
The website has been so wonderful. I feel so connected and love hearing about your incredible progress. You are truly an angel and am praying for you daily.
I went to the Fund Raiser last night. What an amazing turn out of people in our community who care and are sending love, prayers and healing your way.

Hi Diana,
You mentioned at the Pasta Dinner that you've been reading all of the notes I've been sending.I just wanted to tell you how seeing you with Abelina's brother, Jesse and sister Hilda touched my heart. The love you have for Abelina's children and family emanates from you. Raul, my husband's family is from Mexico and are very close and it was nice to see another family so compassionate with each other. It is rare these days.I watched the program, "The Secret" today and I am sure that Abelina can perform miracles with all the love that surrounds her. I know that you have so much support around you, but you can never have too much.I want to do whatever I can. I contacted Joanna and let her know I am willing to volunteer in whatever capacity. Also I'd like to send a few words to Hilda and I don't know how often she checks this blog so maybe you can let her know that I am writing something to her in Spanish.

Te quiero decir que me dio mucho inspiracion como tu y tu familia quieres a tu hermana y sus ninos. La familia de mi esposo es asi, y se llena mi corazon a ver otra familia tan unida. Las palabras de tu hermano, Pascual, era tan emocionante. Yo se que tu hermana es una persona muy especial, se ve en el amor que Diana tiene para ella y como son sus ninos.
