We spent the day yesterday with our Angel, Abelina! We were all so excited to see her and she definately brightened up with the kids came in the room. She has so much to say and we spent a great deal of time working with her to figure it out. The hardest thing, she was trying to express was when will I be able to talk again? I told her, the doctors believed this could happen in a few weeks, she was relieved.
We brought her a portable DVD player and she was able to listen to her favorite show Scrubs! She also has a CD player if anyone has any soothing relaxing CD's they would like to share with her, that would be appreciated. I had an ease pain meditating CD that I put on and it seem to relax her.
Abelina, still has a long road ahead of her and she needs to be inspired on a daily basis so she does not give up hope. She had a small procedure two days ago inserting a bag into her stomach for intravenous feedings, she had to wait over 24 hours before she was able to eat, it caused a great deal of discomfort and it was hard to see her suffer.
So please remember her in your prayers and send both the kids and Abelina inspirational notes.

We are so glad to hear this new news about Abelina.We know she is a very strong lady and has overcome a lot of obsticles in her life.She is use to fighting from a very young age.She has strived from the beginning when she was a young teenager and came to the United States.We know she will continue to fight and we will continue to pray for her and Abraham,Claudia and Angel.They will all be a stronger family together soon.Love From Betty and Wayne
