Hello Abelina,
It is so nice to hear your voice and see the pictures of you. You are so beautiful inside and out.
I knew from day one that you would survive. I am in awe of you, so special.
You DO deserve the best life can give. Now is your time! You go out and get it girl!
Live your best life!

To Abelina,
Hello Abelina, you probably don't remember who I am at all, but my name is Shelley and I was one of the RNs taking care of you in the Neurosurgical ICU at UC Davis Medical Center. I have been tracking your progress online through this website because I was moved by your strength and all of your family support when I was taking care of you. I was curious to see what happened to you after I had transferred you out of the ICU onto the Ortho unit, you had been in the ICU for awhile so it was weird in the NSICU Room 2 after you had been moved. It was about 0300 in the morning and I was so worried that we were going to leave something behind as you had so many belongings and photos posted all over your room and I was trying to pack everything up, and you were trying to tell me to pack your charger and I couldn't understand you, but eventually I got it. You truly are an inspiration for all people and through the support of your family and friends and your own strength you have defied the odds, I praise you. I am so glad that you are able to speak now as I can remember the days when you had the wire on your jaw and you were trying to tell us what you needed and we couldn't quite understand, I can't even imagine how frustrating that must have been for you, and I apologize for those misunderstandings. I wish you all the best in your new endeavor to Arizona and from what you have already accomplished this far in your life, I know it will be a successful journey, wishing you all the best, you are a person that will be remembered for years to come, God bless you and your family,
Shelley Andrade
