Update February 6th

Today, I had an amazing visit with Abelina! We watched part of the Planet Earth series my sister Tonya and her husband Walter generously gave to Abelina for her Birthday. First I riffled through the many boxes of cards lotions, pictures and books looking for the portable DVD player. With the help of Jim her primary nurse, we finally found th DVD player. Then I searched for another 10 minutes, looking for the cords to plug it in, when Abelina reminded me it was portable (her mind is so sharp). So, I picked out the DVD and set it up on a rolling side table, we adjusted the height and moved the screen ever so slightly. Finally, I got it just right! The she said, " I want you to lay next to me"! So, I manuvered one of the two exsisting chairs over as closely as I could, to the right side of her bed (the side with less tubes, etc...). Then I took down her side rail, kneeled with my feet facing the exit wall and gently laid my head next to hers. We then proceeded to watch in awe of the beautiful camera work, as they captured close up on leapords and waterfalls, mountain terrains and so much more. Our favorite scene was when a mama duck laid her eggs in a high tree in the forrest. When the ducklings where ready to leave the nest, they carefully went to the edge of the tree and jumped off one by one. Each one more beautiful then the next, flapping with all their might and landing in a huge, cushioned pile of leaves. Abelina was so pleased! We giggled and owed and awed! Anyway it was an amazing visit, it felt like old times!
