Abelina's update

Today was such a fabulous day for those of us, who were able to witness her going outside!  My husband John, myself, her brother Ernesto,  Angel, my son Johnny and daughter Kylie were all present.  Abelina was in fantastic spirits and was ready to take the world by storm.  When her brother Ernesto was wheeling her out of the room (I was wheeling her equipment) she joked with the Occupational therapist Robin, "We won't be back" and let out a huge burst of laughter. Today she spoke of her future and how "she was never going to feel sorry for herself!"  "She has been given the gift of life and she plans on living it!"  Also, she stated, "She can't wait to wear all her beautiful clothes again, that she is going to be the best she can be."  Every time I talk with her I am more and more inspired.   Her state of mind is something, that I am sure,  none of us can imagine being able to achieve.  Especially in just over a four month time span!  Also she speaks about her purpose and how she plans on speaking out against abuse!  She knows that God has a greater plan for her and she intends on seeing it through!  Well as you can imagine, we all left on a very positive encouraging note!  It was like old times all sitting around a table laughing, listening to her clever quirks!  Love was all around us!
